1. Seth Godin video - pretty inspirational stuff - a great exponent of the AIDA principle - AIDA in action!
2. MSoft small business software - agree with Dan B, woo need to get a move on!…but also worth asking (after visiting the site) have they been following woosabi’s development ???!!! A few remarkably similar features…makes me feel very good about the Woosabi product…I realise that members of the Woo team are sometimes reluctant to SHOUT that it’s “Woosabi v Microsoft” but on this new evidence, I think we should really consider SHOUTING Woosabi is here!…and taking an even more innovative approach than M/S (eg MBE, prescriptive, invoicing + many more essential small business features) in its offering to new start up businesses …Woosabi v Microsoft…has a nice ring to it!

Microsoft start edging into the SME market - time to get our skates on :p
REDMOND, Wash. — Feb. 10, 2008 — To help small businesses effectively market themselves and sell online, Microsoft Office Live Small Business (http://www.smallbusiness.officelive.com) today launched new features and enhancements to its Web service. New features include Store Manager, an e-commerce tool to help small businesses easily sell products on their own Web site and on eBay; and E-mail Marketing beta, to make sending e-mail newsletters and promotions simple and affordable. Small businesses that sign up will receive a valuable set of tools and features for free, including Web hosting; rich site design capabilities; numerous productivity applications; contact management software for performing basic customer relationship management (CRM); and custom domain name registration with 100 business e-mail accounts (custom domains are free for the first year). This release is also compatible with the Firefox 2.0 Web browser, making the service accessible on both Macs and PCs.

Hi all
Good article on this link. Essentially = CRM good for business, only if the right product for the right job. Similarly to my recent MBE Profile (dislodged from wooblog pole position by that Pentyrch fiend GF!!)…a good definition of CRM…= nothing new…just keeping the customer satisfied…but now technology can help….I didn’t read this article before I wrote my bit…honest…no really..honest!!!

Found this site which details the origins and definition of Management by Exception (MBE), very interestingly, relating to woosabi.com focus on SME and new startups, especially ‘Customer Relationship Managemnt’ (CRM) and MBE.
http://www.12manage.com/description_management_by_exception.html
The objective of MBE - ”to reduce quantity of detail in reports and stats on which action can be taken”
This is a core philosophy in Woosabi which could be interpreted as:
Woosabi + MBE = CRM to a new level!

As discussed yesterday (GF, DB, Eds + Moi) the mention of MBE in isolation will not achieve our objective - MBE needs to be “relative” to CRM and New Business Start Ups. I will amend my approach in view of this revelation.
